Terms of Use

1. Who may use Eagle View

Eagle View is for authorised users of a customer organisation that has a Fleetocity subscription or an equivalent arrangement through a dealer or partner. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement.

You confirm that the organisation that issued your login is entitled to monitor the vehicles and issue the commands you use in the app, and that you are allowed to access that organisation’s data.

2. The Service

Eagle View lets authorised users view live and historical vehicle positions, telemetry, reports, alerts, documents, support tickets, and (where enabled) send device commands such as immobilize or restore mobility.

The Service depends on GPS devices, mobile networks, maps, and internet connectivity. Coverage, latency, and sensor accuracy can vary. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that every location or fuel reading will be exact.

3. Accounts and security

Keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your login. Notify support@fleetocity.in promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.

We may suspend or limit access to protect the Service, other customers, or if your organisation’s subscription lapses or your administrator revokes your role.

4. Licence

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Eagle View on devices you own or control, solely for your organisation’s internal fleet operations, for as long as you are authorised.

You may not copy, reverse engineer, resell, or misuse the app, scrape the Service, or bypass permissions, licence limits, or security controls.

5. Acceptable use

Use the Service only for lawful fleet management. Do not harass anyone, upload malware, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with GPS devices you do not control, or use tracking or remote commands to commit an offence.

Do not rely on Eagle View as the sole means of emergency response, navigation safety, or theft recovery. It is an operational aid, not a substitute for police, insurers, or safe driving.

6. Vehicle data and commands

Location, ignition, fuel, and similar data come from devices installed on vehicles. Remote commands (including immobilize) can affect whether a vehicle can be driven. Use them only on vehicles you are authorised to control, and only when it is safe and lawful to do so — for example not in a way that would strand a vehicle in traffic or endanger people.

The organisation, not Fleetocity, is responsible for how it monitors staff, for notices to drivers, and for any misuse of commands or data by its users.

7. Maps, notifications, and device permissions

Maps and address lookup may be provided by Google or other map vendors and are subject to their terms. Optional phone location is used to centre the map around you; it is not required to track vehicles.

Push notifications require your device permission. You can turn them off in system settings; you may then miss alerts your organisation configured.

8. Subscriptions, dealers, and fees

Access is typically sold or assigned by Fleetocity or an authorised dealer. Fees, vehicle licences, renewals, and hardware remain as agreed between the paying customer and that seller. These app Terms do not by themselves create a hardware warranty.

If a subscription, SIM, or device plan expires, live tracking and related features may stop until they are renewed.

9. Intellectual property

Fleetocity, Eagle View, and the app’s software, branding, and documentation remain our property or that of our licensors. Vehicle and organisation data remain the organisation’s, subject to these Terms and our need to host and process them to provide the Service.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We are not liable for GPS drift, network outages, incorrect addresses, delayed alerts, device or vehicle faults, or decisions you make based on the app.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Indian law, Fleetocity and its directors, employees, and suppliers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from the Service.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the mobile app is limited to the fees attributable to the affected vehicle licences for the three months before the claim, or INR 5,000, whichever is higher, except where liability cannot be limited (for example proven fraud or death or personal injury caused by our negligence where the law so requires).

12. Indemnity

You will indemnify Fleetocity against claims, losses, and costs arising from your misuse of the Service, unlawful tracking or commands, or violation of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our wilful misconduct.

13. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the app at any time. Your organisation’s administrator can deactivate your user. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms or if the underlying account ends. Provisions that should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, and indemnity) remain in force.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms. The current version will be available in the app and at app.fleetocity.co.in/terms. If you continue to use Eagle View after a change, you accept the new Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the app and ask your administrator to deactivate your access.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections that cannot be waived.
